Supported document conversion

A PDF you can work with in Word.

Convert eligible text-based PDFs into editable DOCX files. Define the text, table and layout requirements first so the result fits the changes you need to make.

Tell us what needs to be editable

A simple letter and a densely designed report need different handling. Describe whether you will revise paragraphs, update a table, reuse headings or rebuild a layout. The agreed result focuses on usable editing and the checks your document needs. Reconstructing an exact visual layout is additional review scope.

Why the original layout may change

Microsoft explains that Word has to infer document structure when opening a PDF. Text-heavy files generally convert more readily, while tables, notes and graphics can behave differently. We scope the checks around the actual content instead of treating a DOCX extension as proof that every part is editable.

Review the elements that matter

The agreed checks can cover reading order, paragraph continuity, headings, basic tables and obvious missing content. Tell us about footnotes, forms, unusual fonts or special pagination before acceptance. An image-only scan, handwritten notes, damaged pages or restrictive files need review before a price or delivery commitment.

  • Identify pages or sections that must be editable.
  • State whether visual similarity or easy reflow matters more.
  • Flag content that needs exact wording preserved.
  • List any tables or repeated headers that require specific checks.

Use the calculator for eligible standard work

Choose document conversion and PDF to Word, then declare files, page counts and source conditions. The shared calculator applies the approved scope rules. Complex requirements move to written review. Schedule and final scope are agreed before work; requesting a deadline does not reserve rush capacity.

Receive a separate editable copy

Delivery keeps the source PDF identifiable beside the DOCX result and any unresolved conversion notes. This is format preparation, not substantive rewriting, legal editing, certified transcription or recreation of document authenticity. Signed or restricted records should be identified during review before processing.

A few useful answers

Will the Word file look identical?

Exact layout is not assumed. We agree the required structure and visual checks; complex reconstruction needs a separate review.

Can you convert a scanned PDF?

Scans need review and may require text recognition before conversion. They do not automatically qualify for the standard selectable-text price.

Does converting the file change its wording?

The format-conversion scope does not authorize rewriting. Any unclear or altered text found during the agreed checks is corrected against the source or flagged.
