Spreadsheet preparation

A CSV prepared for the next system.

Clean and map an existing CSV to agreed column rules, preserving source values and reporting exceptions. A reviewed output gives your team a clearer starting point for its import.

Start with the receiving specification

A clean-looking sheet may still fail an import because headings, allowed values or date formats differ. Provide the destination’s current template or field instructions when available. We agree required columns, record identifiers, blank-value handling and any permitted mappings before changing the source.

Review more than the visible formatting

The scope can cover delimiter consistency, extra spaces, misplaced values, mixed date conventions and columns that should remain text. Long codes and meaningful zeros are preserved under the agreed rules. Unclear values remain on an exception list rather than being guessed into a required field.

Make duplicate decisions explicit

We define what identifies a record and what should happen when two rows share that key. Exact repeated rows and conflicting records are different cases. A match based only on a company name may merge distinct locations. Removal or consolidation requires an approved rule and a way to trace the source rows.

Receive the file and the decisions behind it

The delivery can include the cleaned CSV, field mapping, transformation summary and unresolved row references. If a workbook makes review easier, agree that companion output during scoping. A source file is retained separately so changed values can be compared, rather than relying only on a total row count.

Import validation stays in the agreed boundary

Your team tests the file in the receiving application using its permitted preview or test process. Direct access, live CRM changes, API integrations, automated synchronization and a guaranteed import into an unspecified system are not included. If the receiving system rejects a value, the relevant requirement and source can be reviewed together.

Describe the file before sharing it

Tell us approximate rows and columns, source system, intended destination, known import error categories and any existing mapping. Do not paste customer records or credentials into the form. Complexity, formulas in companion workbooks and decision requirements determine the written quote and confirmed schedule.

A few useful answers

Can you work from an import template?

Yes. Supply the current field requirements through the agreed scope process so columns and validation rules can be reviewed.

Will you upload the CSV into my CRM?

The initial service prepares the file and handoff notes. Direct application access and live imports are outside this scope.

Can you fill missing required fields?

Only from an authoritative supplied source or an approved mapping. Otherwise the missing information stays visible for a decision.
